Inspiration shows its beautiful face often when things are going downhill in my life. For some reason, all that negative energy collects within me and blossoms into this lovely spark of motivation. Last week, let's just call this one "the breakup." It's fairly self-explanatory, but for the purpose of brevity, we will leave it at that.
Once all was said and done, I booked it to my kitchen and immediately started pulling out all the ingredients that I had in hopes that they would come together and remotely form a type of edible, sugary morsel that I could drown my sorrows in. Dramatic? Yes. Effective? 100% of the time, every time. When these babies came out of the oven, I thought that I might just sift several cups of powdered sugar over them, because why not? Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Moving forward....these cookies are the best when eaten the day of, so make sure you have plenty of hungry mouths eat them all, unless you're looking to eat half the tray by yourself, which I hear cures almost anything....not naming any names.
